The heaviest penalty for declining to rule is to be ruled by someone inferior to yourself.”
Opinion of Punjab was founded with one clear belief: if people want to raise political, social, development, or governance issues, they should not be forced to first join a political party.
Today, ordinary citizens have very limited space to participate in politics beyond party structures. Political parties, on the other hand, are increasingly controlled by money power, family networks, loyalists, flatterers, and closed circles.
This leaves many sincere people unheard.
Opinion of Punjab is created to fill this democratic gap.
It is a people-powered platform for those who are already in political parties and for those who are not connected to any political party. It gives citizens a structured way to raise issues, set public agendas, support good leadership, prepare for electoral politics, and participate in meaningful political action.
Why Opinion of Punjab Exists
- Because Punjab needs a platform where politics is not controlled only by parties.
- Because democracy becomes stronger when people participate before elections, during elections, and after elections.
- Because every village, municipal ward, assembly seat, parliamentary seat, and district deserves its own people-driven agenda.
- Because leadership should not be reserved for the rich, the connected, the inherited, or the obedient.
- Because Punjab needs citizens who speak, stand, organize, contest, and lead.
Opinion of Punjab is not just a platform. It is a movement to return politics to the people.

HIMANSHU PATHAK
"More than a platform, Opinion of Punjab is a movement to elevate democratic participation, foster accountable leadership, and drive meaningful transformation in governance."
Opinion of Punjab is the brainchild of Himanshu Pathak — a political strategist and changemaker behind some of India's most defining political movements. With deep-rooted expertise in public policy, grassroots mobilization, and political consulting, Pathak has consistently reimagined electoral landscapes and governance strategies across Punjab and beyond.
A pioneering force behind the historic India Against Corruption (Jan Lokpal Movement), Pathak helped ignite a nationwide awakening that reshaped India's political dialogue. His strategic mind was instrumental in founding the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), where he helped build a bold and credible political alternative centered on transparency, accountability, and public service.
He later transitioned to the Indian National Congress, where he became the youngest-ever Vice President and Spokesperson of Indian National Congress, Punjab. His campaign planning, outreach methodologies, and deep grassroots connect played a decisive role in the Congress Party's landmark victory in the 2017 Punjab Assembly elections.
Through Opinion of Punjab, Pathak now channels his experience into building the next generation of political leaders — empowering individuals and organizations with strategic insights, resonant public narratives, and authentic voter engagement rooted in data, public sentiment, and on-the-ground realities.
Over the years, Pathak has guided and advised more than 90 MLAs, 22+ Members of Parliament, and 3 Chief Ministers on public outreach programs, voter communication, policy research, governance innovation, participatory democracy, and issue-based political strategy.
Join Opinion of Punjab — where leadership meets vision, strategy meets substance, and politics meets purpose. Let's shape a future where politics works for the people, and leaders rise to serve, not rule.
